Eyrir Invest’s Annual General Meeting was held on May 4th. Five candidates were elected to the Board of Directors. The Directors are Þórður Magnússon, Chairman, Hrund Gunnsteinsdóttir, Kristín Pétursdóttir, Ólafur Steinn Guðmundsson and Stefán Árni Auðólfsson. Kristín Pétursdóttir is a new Board member. Kristín is a leadership consultant and coach and the founder of The Inner and Outer Game. She has 25 years of international leadership experience in investment, banking and the technology sector.
The Board of Eyrir Invest wishes to thank Ingólfur Guðmundsson and Jón Helgi Guðmundsson for their valuable contribution to the Company through the years. They did not seek re-election to the Board of Directors.
At the meeting it was announced that the Board of Directors would offer to buy back shares in the Company for up to ISK 700 million in a Dutch auction process. The purpose of the transaction was to increase liquidity in the Company’s shares. The auction was completed successfully, Eyrir Invest bought back 7,376,185 shares for the price of ISK 94.9 per share.
