Icelandic Financial News has awarded Arni Oddur Thordarson with the Business Award of the the year 2008. The award was made in light of Eyrir Invest´s strong position and success of Marel and Össur now two largest listed companies in Iceland. An online version of the paper can be viewed here
The largest newspaper in Iceland, Frettabladid chose the Marel –Stork deal as the business deal of the year. The paper further awarded Jon Sigurdsson the CEO of Ossur the honor as the business man of the year in light of Ossur’s strong position in the global orthopaedics market. The next in line were Hordur Arnarson the CEO of Marel, Thordur Magnusson the chairman of Eyrir Invest and Arni Oddur Thordarson the CEO of Eyrir Invest.
