Eyrir Invest has increased the company’s equity by issuing and selling new shares for 30 million Euros. After the stock increase, the company’s equity is ca. 130 million Euros and the company’s total assets are 210 million Euros. The equity ratio is strong and all debts are long-term financed, partly due to a bond issue earlier in the year.
In addition to previous shareholders who take part in the stock increase, Jón Helgi Guðmundsson and Steinunn Jónsdóttir enter as new shareholders. The new ownership ratio is as follows:

After the equity increase, Eyrir Invest is better positioned to take take on new projects and support development and further growth of companies in which Eyrir owns a large share. Eyrir Invest invests in companies with the potential to be global leaders in the sector in which they operate and have economics of scale, which benefits customers, employees and shareholders.
- About 2/3 of Eyrir Invest’s properties are shares in two companies that are listed in Iceland: Marel and Össur. Eyrir Invest owns close to 30% in Marel and 15% in Össur.
- About 1/3 of Eyrir Invest’s investments are in few listed companies in Scandinavia.
